Disaster struck at our local cemetery in Thorney Village

Devastation at our local cemetery in Thorney Village.

More than 20 destroyed gravestones. Destroyed children's gravestones, such a macabre sight came across the residents of Thorney Village just after Halloween. On Wednesday morning, the police on duty was informed of the destroyed tombstones at Whittlesey Road in Thorney Village. Police operations are ongoing.

We do not have much information. This morning, the cemetery visitor saw ruined tombstones. The police were informed about the situation immediate. Officers went to the place and who guarded the tracks. Destroyed more than 20 tombstones - says a resident of the village, the amount of losses is just determined. Vengeance? Stupidity? - people are wondering. Cops are looking for answers and guilty.

There were vandals in the cemetery. The gate is not locked, it does not do much, because the fence is not high. Vandals appeared probably from Tuesday to Wednesday. Several graves were damaged. Vandals started at the main avenue. They dropped plates from the graves of the children. Probably the elements of the gravestones served as tools of destruction. Throwing or banging them like hammers, they completely broke down the neighboring tombs.

Whoever did it, must be Satan, because it is inhuman. Even an idiot would think a moment - said one of the women. People say that devastation does not look random. Policemen admit that they take such an option. - We accept reports of destroyed gravestones, estimated losses, ect. We do not exclude that someone has acted deliberately or maliciously. We are still investigating the case and we do not want to reveal details of our findings yet - the policeman said.

All the people who inform about the above incident Police provide anonymity. Cemetery desecration and destruction of the place of burial of the dead is a special act of vandalism.
